Ashland Head Start  
Head Start is a comprehensive child development and family program that builds the foundations for school readiness.  At Head Start children learn good habits, make friends, solve problems, improve listening and speaking skills and prepare for kindergarten.  Services include education, health, nutrition, mental health and family services.   We support parents as their child’s first and foremost teacher.

Cliff Early Childhood Center
The Early Childhood Center can provide services for up to one hundred and eighteen children and their families through a variety of program offerings. Red Cliff Early Childhood Center offers Early Head Start Home Based, Early Head Start Center Based and Head Start Center Based which serves the reservation.
The ECC's mission is to use Traditional Ojibwe values to guide efforts to promote the spiritual, emotional, physical, and cognitive wellness of the children, families, and community we serve.

This program is a component of the Red Cliff Education Department. Higher Education funding is offered to full time students only. The maximum allowable funding is $1800.00 for each student per academic year. Program services are available for up to ten semesters.
