Two additional FREE resources are available for library patrons, sponsored by the Friends of the Superior Public Library:

BOOK NEWS:  Contains options to view or receive monthly e-mail notifications of new library materials in over two dozen categories.  Content includes reviews and links to the Merlin catalog to hold titles.  In addition, links to online booklists of award winners, the New York Times best seller lists and authors on the web (author websites) are available from one screen. 

ONLINE BOOK CLUBS:  Allows sign up to receive a daily e-mail (M-F for one week) containing a 5-minute sample of a book.  Choose from over a dozen categories.

The Vaughn Public Library (VPL) is located in Ashland, Wisconsin on the corner of Vaughn Avenue and West Main Street.  The city of Ashland is located on the shores of the Chequamegon Bay on the largest fresh water lake in the world, Lake Superior.

VPL serves a local population of 8,500 and a service population of approximately 16,000.  The collection includes popular books, magazines, newspapers, videos on VHS, DVD & Blu-ray, audiobooks on cassette, CD & MP3-CD and music CD's. 

The Vaughn Public Library is established under Chapter 43 of the Wisconsin Statutes as a municipal library and it is governed by the Vaughn Public Library Board.  The Friends of the Vaughn and the Vaughn Public Library Foundation provide additional funding and programming support for VPL.

VPL is a member of the Merlin Consortium, along with more than two dozen libraries in Northern Wisconsin serviced by Northern Waters Library Service (NWLS).

Click here to download a print driver to your Windows Laptop. Once installed, it will allow you to print while on our wireless network.

When you print a document, this software will ask you for your Library card number, and to "Name" your print job. You may then pay for, and print your document at the print station next to the Public Internet workstations.
